Bangladeshi killed by BSF torture in Naogaon

NAOGAON: A Bangladeshi cattle trader was killed by Border Security Force (BSF) torture in Kalmudanga frontier area under Sapahar Upazila of the district Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Nurul Islam, 36, son of Abdul Rauf of Kalmudanga village of the upazila.

Locals said BSF members chased Nurul and his fellows when they went near to border pillar no. 234 to bring Indian cattle around 6:00am and abducted two of them.
   
Later, the BSF members tortured Nurul to death and another Islam, 48, severely injured. The Indian force left them in the border around 7:00am.

The injured was taken to the Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital (RMCH) and body of Nurul has been kept under BGB custody.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Commanding officer Rafikul Alam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
