CHITTAGONG: Police detained six Myanmar nationals and a manpower agent in Shah Amanat Bridge area of the port city Saturday morning for their illegal entry into Bangladesh.

A team of Bakalia Thana police nabbed them. Of the detainees, four are male two are female.

Bakalia Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Mohhamd Mohsin told banglanews that the Myanmar nationals entered Bangladesh illegally through Teknaf border and came to Chittagong with the help of a manpower agent.

Police are interrogating them on their entry in Bangladesh, the OC added.
