LAXMIPUR: Two women were found dead at Bamni union and Shaheber Haat union of the district on Saturday morning.

The deceased were identified as Kusum Begum, 45, wife of Solaiman, residing in Saicha village of Raypur upazila’s Bamni union and Aklima Begum, 22, wife of Ibrahim Hossain, living in Charjagabandhu village of Kamalnagar’s Shaheber Haat union.

On information, police recovered the bodies, said spot accounts of the incidents.

Locals said they found Kusum, who came out from home on Friday late night, also mother of four children, hanging from a home-side tree.

On the other hand, Aklima was hanging from the ceiling of her bedroom.

Kamalnagar Thana Officer-in-Charge Kabir Ahmed said, later on information, police recovered both the bodies and sent to morgue for autopsy.
