DHAKA: At least two police personnel were injured in a cocktail blast in city’s Bangabazar area on Saturday evening.

The angry mob held two of the miscreants and gave them a good beating.

Witnesses said that a gang of miscreants hurled a cocktail aiming at a police vehicle in front of Yunus Tower in the area around 6:30pm, leaving the duo injured.

The injured anarchists were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

However, additional law enforcers were deployed in the area to avert further untoward situation.

Senior Assistant Police Commissioner Shibli Noman confirmed the matter to banglanews.
