RUPGANJ, NARAYANGANJ:  Driver and helper sustained burn injuries when blockaders hurled petrol bomb at rice-laden truck and then it plunged into roadside ditch in Rupganj upazila of the district Saturday morning.

The injured-- Badshah Miah, 40, driver of the truck, and his helper Helal Miah, 38 –were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

Witnesses said the truck fell into roadside ditch after being attacked with petrol bomb in Chan Textile area on Asian Highway (bypass) road at 6:00am, leaving the duo burnt.

Later, local people rescued them and rushed to DMCH.

Rupganj Thana Sub-Inspector Taslim Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.
