DHAKA: Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) seized around 32,000 pieces of yaba tablets from Gandham border area in Teknaf upazila of Cox's Bazar on Saturday.

BGB sources said that acting on a tip-off the law enforcers conducted a drive in the area in the evening and recovered the illegal tablets, worth of Tk 96 lakh.

However, none was arrested in this connection as the drug smugglers fled the scene sensing the presence of the law enforcers.

Public relations officer Mohsin Reza of BGB headquarters confirmed the matter to banglanews.
