At least two people were killed and ten others injured when two passenger buses collided head-on in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh district on Friday morning.
The accident occurred around 8:00 am in front of Tasrif Cotton Mills at Bharadoba on the Mymensingh-Dhaka highway, police said.
Bhaluka Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Humayun Kabir confirmed the casualties.
He said police responded immediately, recovered the bodies, and brought them to the station.
The injured were first taken to Bhaluka Upazila Health Complex. Those in critical condition were later transferred to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment.
Police have seized both buses involved in the crash. An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident and identify the deceased, the OC added.
