MUNSHIGANJ: A Munshiganj court on Wednesday awarded lifetime imprisonment to five people in a murder case.

The Additional District and Sessions Judge court Magistrate M Shajahan Kabir passed the order around 2:00pm.

The convicts are Mati Mal, 45, Hannan Mal, 32, Manik Mal, 28, Billal Mirdha, 25, and Abdur Rahman Howlader, 28, of Bhogdia village of the district.

The court sources said, on June 24 in 2009, they five men chopped Abdur Rahman to death over the previous enmity.

Victim’s son Al Amin filed a case against the five people with Lohajang Thana.
