JHENIDAH: At least 10 students of a primary school fall sick eating power spice in the school at Balaramnagar village in Kotchandpur upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The students of the Balaramnagar Primary School are Tarique, Sagar, Meherab, Ratan Kumar, Tushar, Shamim, Zihad, Sohel, Alam Mamun and Mahfuz.

Headmaster of the school Mizanur Rahman told banglanews that a class-V student, Bayozid, brought a packet of spice from his home and his fellows eat the spice.

After some time they were being attacked by severe pain in their belly, convulsions and diarrhea.

Later, they were taken to the Kotchandpur Health Complex around 12:00pm.

Dr Abu Bakar Siddique of the health complex said they were now out of danger.

They might have taken expired spice, the doctor added.
