DHAKA: South Africa has expressed interest to recruit skilled manpower from Bangladesh and in this regard they are building financial and diplomatic relations with Bangladesh.

Bangladesh Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali told banglanews after a meeting with South Africa’s Residential Representative to Bangladesh Geoffrey Quinton Mitchell Doidge, attached with South Africa’s Sri Lanka embassy.

However, Geoffrey, in this connection, put importance to open South African embassy to Bangladesh to enforce the process of importing manpower.

He also said they are looking for special professionals including doctors, engineers and IT experts.

The diplomat also urged for importing medicines, furniture and readymade garments to his country.

Expressing his happiness for the warm hospitability in Bangladesh, the envoy said that his country will cooperate with Bangladesh kin getting trade facilities in African region.

Moreover, South Africa’s Residential Representative to Bangladesh informed media that from now on he will visit Bangladesh three times a year to make the bilateral relations stronger.

He is likely to visit the country in November.
