Cox’s Bazar airport declared shut

DHAKA: Civil Aviation Authority has declared Cox’s Bazar airport shut down till 10:00am of Monday as an accident-fallen aircraft has kept in the only runway of the airport.

After the accident on Sunday, no aircraft can’t land or take off at the airport.

Earlier, an aircraft of United Airways faced a small accident at Cox’s Bazar airport.

However, none was reportedly injured in the accident.

Civil Aviation Authority sources said the nosewheel of the craft carrying 63 passengers broke down after landing at the airport around 5:45 pm flying from Dhaka.

Deputy General Manager of United Airways Kamrul Islam told banglanews that the nosewheel didn’t break down, it just got stuck somehow.
