DHAKA: The Government has decided to appoint Kazi Imtiaz Hossain, currently serving as Bangladesh Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand, as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Australia. 

A career diplomat, Kazi Hossain is a member of the 1986 batch of BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre.

In his distinguished diplomatic career, besides his present assignment as Ambassador to Thailand, he served in Bangladesh Missions in New York, Kolkata, Geneva and Beijing in various capacities.

Kazi Imtiaz Hossain secured Bachelor and Master’s at Accounting from the University of Dhaka.

He also obtained Diploma in International Relations and Diplomacy from International Institutes of Public Administration, Paris.
