DHAKA: The Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina expressed deep shock at the demise of Nasim Osman, lawmaker from Narayanganj-5 constituency, and expressed her condolences to the grief stricken family.

 

In a letter of condolence, signed by premier’s special assistant Mahbubul Haque Shakil, Sheikh Hasina said people of Narayanganj will remember Nasim Osman, son of a traditional political family, as a leader who sacrificed a lot for them.

 

The premier also said that the country will remember his courageous role after the killing of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15, 1975.

 

In three separate letters of condolence, Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Chief Whip of Jatiya Sangshad also expressed their morn over the death of Nasim Osman MP.

 

Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury said Nasim Osman was a courageous man who worked for the country till death.

 

She also said this was an irreplaceable loss for the nation.

 

Jatiya Party lawmaker of Narayamnganj-5 constituency Nasim Osman died of a massive heart attack in an Indian hospital early Wednesday.
