2 killed as train rams human hauler in Sirajganj

SIRAJGANJ: Two people were killed and four injured as an express train rammed into a three-wheeler, locally known as Nasimon, on the unmanned Ullapara level-crossing on Sunday night.

Government Rail Police (GRP) sources and witnesses said the Dhaka-bound inter-city Padma Express crashed into the Nasimon while it was crossing over the rail-crossing at about 7pm, killing its two passengers instantly.

The dead are Mohammad Ali, 50, and Hamid, 45, of Shameshpur village in Belkuchi upazila.

Officer-in-Charge of GRP thana Morsalin Hossain told banglanews24.com.bd that the bodies and the injured two had been taken away by their relatives before the police reached the spot.
