The moon of the holy month of Zilhajj has been sighted in Bangladesh. As a result, the country will celebrate Eid-ul-Azha on June 7 (Friday).
The announcement was made on Wednesday (May 28) evening during a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee held at the Islamic Foundation office at Baitul Mukarram in Dhaka.
The meeting was organised by the Islamic Foundation and the Ministry of Religious Affairs. It was chaired by Religious Affairs Adviser A F M Khalid Hossain.
