A Dhaka court has imposed a travel ban on Md Moazzem Hossain, former assistant private secretary to Local Government Adviser Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan, following corruption allegations.

Senior Special Judge of the Dhaka Metropolitan Sessions Court Md Zakir Hossain Galib passed the order following a petition submitted by the Anti- Corruption Commission (ACC).

The court also ordered the blocking of his National ID card. The ACC said that Hossain, recently dismissed from service, allegedly amassed illegal wealth through bribery, extortion, and misuse of power. 

The ACC fears he may flee to avoid investigation.
