DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of Police, in a special drive, detained three foreign citizens and seized equipments for printing counterfeit dollars in capital’s Uttara area on Tuesday night.

Of them, two were identified as Cameroonians and another as Guatemalan.

Confirming the matter, assistant commissioner of DB police (narcotics, north) Mahfuzul Alam Rasel told banglanews that acting on tip off, they conducted the drive and held three foreigners.

During the time, huge amount of chemicals and papers used to print counterfeit currencies were also recovered, he added.
