DHAKA: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed categorically said that false news over upcoming parliamentary elections can be dangerous for nation.

He came up with the assertion while addressing an inauguration ceremony of media center at election commission secretariat in city on Saturday noon.

CEC said that news presentation is an important matter during election so the news media have to be more careful to publish news.

Kazi Rakibuddin Ahmed also said, “We will accept any suggestions or requests from the media persons and provide help if they face any problem here.”

Indicating media CEC said, “You will serve the neutral news and then the people will got the real picture. We believe in transparency on holding elections.”

Election Commissioner Mohammad Abu Hafiz, Jabed Ali, Mohammad Abdul Mobarak, Shah Newaj and others were present in the inauguration ceremony.
