6-bomb recovered from city vote center

DHAKA: Police recovered six hand bombs from a polling center in Kadamtali Thana of the capital on Saturday morning.

Confirming the matter, Kadamtali Thana Officer-in-Charge Majharul Islam told banglanews, “Miscreants kept those hand bombs at Kadamtali KM Mainuddin High School to create panic.

On information, police recovered the bomb at around 7:30am.
Police are conducting drive to arrest the miscreants, he added.

On the other hand, cocktails blasted in two polling centers in capital’s Uttara area at around 9:30pm Friday.

Miscreants set fire to polling centers across the country in between Friday night to Saturday morning as indefinite blockade and 48-hour hartal underway across the country protesting the 10th parliamentary elections.
