A child and teenager were killed in separate road accidents in Ishwarganj and Haluaghat upazilas of Mymensingh.

The deceased are Amit Hasan Maruf, 16, of Ishwarganj, and Junaid Ahmed, 4, of Haluaghat.

Amit Hasan Maruf was killed by a truck on the Mymensingh-Kishorganj highway at Galahar bordering Ishwarganj around 5:30 pm on Saturday (May 27).

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Ishwarganj Police Station Mostachinur Rahman confirmed the matter.

In another incident, Junaid Ahmed was seriously injured when he was hit by an easy bike while standing on the road next to his house this morning in Kumuria village of Haluaghat upazila. Later, when locals rushed him to nearby hospital doctors on duty declared him dead.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Haluaghat police station Suman Chandra Roy confirmed the matter.
