Habiganj Civil Surgeon dies of dengue Md Shahadat Hossain Hajra

HABIGANJ: Habiganj Civil Surgeon Md Shahadat Hossain Hajra died of mosquito-borne viral dengue fever. He was 53.

He was pronounced dead by the physicians at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital in Dhaka around 10:15pm Sunday (July 21).

His colleague Md Shah Alam confirmed the matter to Banglanews early Monday (July 22).

On Sunday, Shahadat Hossain was admitted to Habiganj Adhunik District Sadar Hospital and later shifted to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital. 

Pirojpur-born physician Shahadat Hossain was promoted to Civil Surgeon on July 9.
