DHAKA: In a protest for not extending visa of Bangladeshi official, Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad has stopped issuing visas to Pakistanis.
An official at the Bangladesh High Commission in Pakistan confirmed the matter to Banglanews.
Sources said a visa extension application submitted by Bangladesh diplomat Muhammad Iqbal, Counsellor (Press) at Bangladesh High Commission in Islamabad to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs remained pending for over four months. In an apparent protest, Bangladesh took such decision.
Iqbal Hossain submitted an application to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs in January. Later it was sent to its Ministry of Interior but did not get any response yet.
