DHAKA: Members of Rapid Action Battalion have detained five active members of banned militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team in separate drives conducted at Ashulia in Savar and Dhamrai, on the outskirts of Dhaka.

RAB's Senior Assistant Director of Legal and Media Wing ASP Sujoy Sarkar confirmed the detention on Saturday (February 29).

Among the 5 detainees, there was a woman. Leaflets were seized from them.

Details about the drives will be disclosed at RAB's media centre in the capital’s Karwan Bazar area at 3:30 pm this afternoon, said ASP Sujoy Sarkar.
