RAJSHAHI: Rajshahi unit Jatiya Party (JP) leaders and activists torched opposition BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s effigy on Thursday afternoon.

Hundreds activists of JP and its front organizations brought out a protest procession from city party office and torched Khaleda’s effigy.

Earlier, BNP activists torched effigy of JP Chairman HM Ersahd as his party has joined in all-party government.

JP district unit office secretary Mainul Islam led the procession.

District JP general secretary Shahab Uddin Bacchu confirmed the matter to banglanews.
