Abdullah Al-Mamun as IGP takes charges as new IGP  

The new Inspector General of Police (IGP) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun has taken over as new as Dr Benazir Ahmed relinquished the charge.

Abdullah Al-Mamun was earlier Director General of elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

Meanwhile, M Khurshid Hossain, Additional Inspector General of Police, has taken over as RAB Director General.
