Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested five persons, including two women, during a raid on a suspected militant hideout in Nilphamari’s Sadar Upazila.

Besides, explosives have been recovered from the building, Banglanews correspondent reports.

Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of the Legal and Media Wing of RAB confirmed the matter.

According to him, RAB members cordoned off a house at Puthihari Majhapara village of Sonaray union since early Saturday on suspicion of being a militant hideout.

Meanwhile, a team of RAB's bomb disposal unit from Rangpur reached the spot, the RAB officials said.
