The educational institutions would be closed again if the Covid-19 situation in the country deteriorates, said education minister Dr Dipu Moni.

She made the remarks while visiting an exam centre at Government Shaheed Suhrawardy College in the capital on the first day of HSC exams.

The minister also said the results of HSC and its equivalent examinations will be published within 30 days.

Besides, the next year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) exams may be held in mid-2022.

There is no way to leak HSC exam questions, she said, adding that anyone who spreads rumours about a leak will face stern punishment.

Meanwhile, the Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations began today (Dec 2) under 11 education boards across the country.
