Global COVID-19 death toll tops 3.89m, caseload over 179m [photo collected]

The overall global Covid-19 caseload has topped 179.93 million, while the deaths have surged to more than 3.89 million, according to data from the worldometer.

In its latest update on Wednesday (June 23, 2pm Local Time), the data revealed that the current global caseload and death toll stood at 179,937,616 and 3,898,312 respectively.

Worldwide Covid-19 deaths are rising once again, especially in India. 

Besides, a total of 164,706,771 people recovered worldwide from the disease, according to data from the worldometer.

A total of 220 countries and territories and two international conveyances have been infected in the deadly disease.

In USA, 34,434,803 people have tested positive for the virus. Of them, 617,875 people have died and 28,817,134 people have recovered.

In Brazil, 18,056,639 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 504,897 have died and 16,388,847 recovered.

In India, 30,028,709 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 390,691 people have died and 28,994,855 people have recovered.

In Mexico, 2,482,784 have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 231,505 died and 1,977,071 recovered from the disease.

In Peru, 2,033,606 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 190,906 have died.

In Russia, 5,350,919 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 130,347 have died and 4,889,450 have recovered.

In UK, 4,651,988 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 128,008 patients have died and 4,306,482 people have recovered.

In Italy, 4,254,294 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 127,322 people have died and 4,054,008 people have recovered. 

In France, 5,760,002 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 110,829 patients have died and 5,575,086 patients have recovered.

In Colombia, 3,997,021 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 101,9302 people have died and 3,714,962 people have recovered.

In Germany, 3,731,287 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 91,082 patients have died and 3,611,500 have recovered.

In Argentina, 4,298,782 people have tested positive for Covid-19. Of them, 90,281 patients have died and 3,928,389 people have recovered.

In Iran, 3,117,336 people have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 83,217 patients have died and 2,771,705 patients have recovered. 

In Spain, 3,768,691 patients have been diagnosed with coronavirus. Of them, 80,719 have died and 3,564,850 patients have recovered. 

In Poland, 2,879,030 people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. Of them, 74,858 patients have died and 2,650,773 people have recovered.

In Bangladesh, 861,150 people have tested positive for coronavirus. Of them, 13,702 people died and 788, 385 patients have recovered.

The World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis a pandemic on March 11 last year.
