Former Moulvibazar MP Toabur Rahim died from coronavirus infection at a hospital in London on early Friday.

Toabur Rahim, an Awami League leader and organizer of the Liberation War, breathed his last at 3:00 am at the hospital while undergoing treatment.

He was hospitalized after being tested positive for the virus few days ago.

Toabur was the member the first Bangladesh Parliament (Jatiya Sangsad) formed after the independence Bangladesh.
