DHAKA: Ministry of Home Affairs said it was not aware of Taka 60 crore spent on making the list of Razakars.
The ministry issued a statement in this regard on Thursday (December 19).
According to the statement, a press conference held at the Home Ministry on December 18. About 100 journalists were present there. At that time, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal answered various questions posed by journalists. He did not say anything about the expense of making the list of Razakars. Some media propagated such news intentionally, which is undesirable. The Home Ministry is not aware of this. The Home Ministry has urged all concerned to refrain from spreading such untrue news.
Meanwhile, the Liberation War Affairs Ministry also issued a press release on Thursday. It said it has noticed some media published a report which goes along the lines of ‘Taka 60 crore spent on making the list of Razakars.’ The concerned minister said no allocation was demanded or made for making the list of Razakars. So, no questions arise regarding spending money on this. This is untrue information. The minister urged all concerned to refrain from spreading such false news.
