NAOGAON: An explosion at computer lab of Naogaon Polytechnic Institute injured seven students on Sunday (December 1).

The accident occurred while 3rd year student were taking a practical class at around 5 pm. 

According to Polytechnic Institute source, the explosion happened at chemistry lab when a test was being performed. The injured teachers and students were admitted to Noagaon General Hospital.

Saiful Islam, surgery specialist at Naogaon Sadar Hospital, told Banglanews: “Out of the seven injured students, three are in critical conditions. Since we don not have burn unit here, we, therefore, sent them to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for better treatment after giving them first aid, but the rest are being treated here.”
