SATKHIRA: Detective Branch (DB) of Satkhira police detained 30 Bangladeshis, including 11 children, who were allegedly returning home from India illegally.

They were detained in Kumira Bazar of Tala upazila of Satkhira district on Sunday noon.

The detainees include 13 men, 11 children and six women, residents of Bagerhat and Pirojpur districts.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Satkhira DB police sub-inspector (SI) Lutfar Rahman said on a tip-off, they conducted a drive and detained 30, who were entering Bangladesh from India illegally.

Process of legal action against the detainees is underway, he added.
