DHAKA: Detective Branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in separate drives arrested nine members of banned Islamist militant outfit Ansarullah Bangla Team and Harkatul Jihad (HuJi) from different parts of the city on Sunday night.

DMP media center confirmed the matter to banglanews on Monday morning.

Police also recovered huge bomb, firearms and explosives from the detainees.

The arrested militants were preparing to conduct bank robbery, said the DMP media center.

Details of the detainees will be disclosed in a press conference at 11:30am, it added.
