DHAKA: Miscreants shot a businessperson to death in Jurain area of Kadamtali in the city early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mohammad Ibrahim, 23, son of Abdul Khalek of the area.

Deceased’s elder brother Harun said some miscreants shot Ibrahim around 2:00am after blasting cocktail in the area, leaving him injured critically.

Harun took his brother to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead around 2:30am.

Victim’s family sources claimed that 4/5 local criminals, including Mohammad Habu and Mohammad Shukkur, killed Ibrahim.

Kadamtali Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.
