DHAKA: Police foiled gherao to two ministries of Gono Songhati Andolon on Monday demanding rescue of migrants who adrift at sea and arrest of human traffickers.

The protesters tried to besiege the Home Ministry and Expatriate Welfare Ministry to press their demand to the government.

More than one hundred activists of the organization formed human chain and brought out protest procession in front of National Press Club around 12:30pm.

When they approached to the ministries, police obstructed them near to secretariat. Later, they staged a rally in front of police barricade and gave a 48-hour ultimatum to meet up their demands.
