DHAKA: Muggers shot a man and snatched Tk 24 lakh in Tushar Dhara zero point area under Fatullah Upazila of Narayanganj Thursday morning.

The injured was identified as Helal Uddin, 30, hails from Kadamtali village under Titas Thana of Comilla and resides in North Bhuigar area of Fatullah.

Helal’s sister-in-law Nargis Ahmed said the miscreants, riding a motorcycle, shot him and robbed the bag of money in the area around 9:30am, leaving him injured.

Helal was admitted to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH police outpost Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
