DHAKA: The oath taking ceremony of newly elected mayors and councilors of three city corporations is scheduled to be held at Prime Minister’s Office in city on May 6 (Wednesday) morning.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will administer the Dhaka North, Dhaka South and Chittagong city corporations mayors’ oath taking ceremony, to be organized by the Local Government Division.

Meanwhile, Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operative Minister Syed Ashraful Islam will administer the general and reserved councilors’ oath taking ceremony.

The city corporations elections was held on April 28. The gazette notification, citing the names of elected mayors and councilors, was published on April 30.
