DHAKA: Detective branch (DB) of Dhaka Metropolitan police joint commissioner Monirul Islam categorically said that militant group Ansarullah Bangla Team organized the killing mission of blogger Dr Avijit Roy.

He made the assertion at DMP media center replying to a journalist on Monday noon.

Mentioning Avijit killing investigation underway, the DB joint commissioner further said that they are working on the matter.

‘We have identified more than five suspects’, he added, ‘important information will come in hands after their arrest’.

Earlier on February 26, a group of unidentified miscreants hacked blogger Avijit Roy to death near TSC on Dhaka University campus during Ekushey Book Fair in February.

His wife Rafida Bonya Ahmed was also hurt in the attack.
