DHAKA: Three youths were killed in a road accident in bypass area of the district on Sunday noon.

The deceased were identified as Sabbir, Sifat and Omar Faruk, aged around 20 years and hailed from Kabutarkhola village under Sreenagar upazila of the district.

Local Rakibul Hasan told banglanews that a passenger bus hit a motorcycle, carrying the three friends, in Sreenagar bypass area around 2:00pm, leaving Omar dead on the spot and injured two others.

The injured were taken to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where attending doctor declared both of them dead around 4:00pm.

Quoting the doctor, DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
