DHAKA: After visiting polling centers of the Dhaka North City Corporation, British High Commissioner Robert Gibson Tuesday said so far, there is no chaos.
He came up with the remark while visiting the center of Banani Bidyaniketan School and college at 9:00am Tuesday.
Quoting the presiding officer of the centre, the British envoy said they face no problem, no chaos.
In reply to another question, he said if anyone has a complaint, the election commission will look into this matter.
On the other hand, election monitoring organization Fair Election Monitoring Alliance (FEMA) observer Shahjahan Siddique has already visited a number of polling stations several vote centres under Dhaka South City Corporation, including Siddheshwari Girls College and Viqarunnisa Girls college, and observed voting.
He told banglanews that voting is underway in free and fair manner. But without agents of the mayoral candidate Sayeed Khokon, we could not meet agents of other candidates inside polling stations.
Although a good numbers of voters were noticed during the early hours of voting, the number began to decline after an hour, he added.
