CHITTAGONG: Customs intelligence seized 40 gold bars worth of Tk 2 crore from a passenger’s bag and undergarments at Shah Amanat International Airport of the port city on Wednesday.

Law enforcers also held Abdus Shukkur, hail from Fatikchhari upazila of the port city, a passenger of Oman Air, in this connection.

Airport customs intelligence team assistant customs official Mohammad Faruque said, on a tip-off, they searched the passenger and seized 40 gold bars from his bag and undergarments.
