DHAKA: Awami League-backed candidate Anisul Haque, Bangladesh Nationalist Party-supported Tabith Mohammed Awal have been allocated the symbols for the mayoral race at Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) polls Friday morning.

Anisul has got ‘table clock’ symbol while Tabith, son of BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s Adviser Abdul Awal Mintoo, got ‘bus’ symbol.

DNCC returning officer Shah Alam allocated the symbols among the candidates at National Local Government Institute in the city around 10:25am.

Polls to two Dhaka city corporations are scheduled to be held on April 28.
