COX’S BAZAR: Members of Bangladesh Navy detained 15 fishermen of Myanmar from Bay of Bengal in St Martin’s under Teknaf upazila of the district Thursday night.

District Superintendent of Police (SP) Shamyal Kuman Nath confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the Myanmar citizens were arrested from Bangladesh water level area near Saint Martin around 11:00pm.

The identity of the detainees could not be known immediately, he said.

The SP informed that the detainees were handed over to the Teknaf Thana and will be produced before the court after filing case against them.
