JOYPURHAT: A laborer sustained burn injuries as miscreants hurled petrol bomb at a goods-laden truck at Varahut village under Panchbibi Upazila of the district Wednesday midnight.

The injured -- Shahidul Islam, 40, son of Ajgor Ali – was admitted to Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZMCH) in Bogra.

Police said the truck, carrying iron rod, was heading toward Chanpara of Panchbibi Upazila around 12:00pm. When it approached in Bharahut area, miscreants attacked with petrol bomb, leaving one out of four laborers onboard injured.

Coworkers rushed him to District Adhunik Hospital and later he was shifted to SZMCH for better treatment.

Joypurhat police super Molla Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
