CHITTAGONG: Two fishermen were killed and two others injured in lightning in Fisheryghat area in Chittagong on Monday noon.

The deceased were identified as Kabir Hossain (30) and Mafiz Mia (30) of Moheshkhali upazila of Cox’s Bazar.

The injured, identified as Sona Mia (20) and Amir Hossain (22), are undergoing treatment at Chittagong Medical College and Hospital (CMCH).

Kotwali Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Jasim Uddin confirmed the matter to banglanews.

However, CMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Pankaj Barua told banglanews that four thunder-victims were admitted to CMCH where on-duty doctor declared two of them dead on arrival.
