DINAJPUR: A Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) member was killed as a bus rammed into him in Ansar Club Bottala area in sadar upazila of the district on Sunday noon.

The victim has been identified as Shafiqul, who was working as a signalman of Dinajpur Sadar BGB. He was a son of Hasmat Ali of Biral upazila.

Confirming the matter, Dinajpur Kotowali Thana inspector (investigation) told banglanews that Shafiqul was going to Dashmale area by a motorcycle. A passer bus rammed into him near Ansar Club Bottala area, leaving him critically injured.

Rescuing the victim, locals rushed to Dinajpur Medical College and Hospital where on-duty doctor declared him dead.
