DHAKA: A group of miscreants slaughtered a man at his house at Mill Barrack in city’s Gandaria area Sunday noon.

The victim has been identified as Sani Sarkar (45).

The blood-stained body was brought at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declared him dead on arrival.

On information, Sani’s sister came to DMCH and claimed that the man Jummon, who was working at Sani’s house, left the place soon after the incident.

But she could not identify the killers.

A man Mishal, introducing himself as Sani’s nephew, told banglanews that the miscreants not only cut the victim’s throat but also stabbed him indiscriminately.

He also could not identify the criminals.

However, Sani left behind her wife Kona, a son and a daughter.

DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (SI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.
