10kg gold seized at Shahjalal, 5 held

DHAKA: Customs intelligence recovered ten kilograms gold from a flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Sunday.

Customs Assistant Commissioner Faridul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said custom officials raided a flight of Biman on information of smuggled gold in that flight.

Later officials found 10kg gold at noon and detained five people for their suspected involvement in the smuggling. Details will be informed later, he added.
