RAJBARI: Thunderbolt killed two youths separately in Goalanda and Baliakandi Upazilas of the district on Wednesday morning.

The deceased were identified as Jakir Hossain, 18, son of Khabir Sheikh of Debgram village under Goalanda Upazilas and Murad Sheikh, 25, son of Liakat Sheikh, of Natunchar village under Baliakandi Upazila.

Witnesses said that lightning struck them between 8:00 am and 8:15 am while they were farming in lands at their respective village, leaving them injured.

Locals took them respective upazila health complexes where attending doctors declared them dead.

Jogania Union Parishad Chairman Ansar Ali confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Witnesses Kalam Sheikh and Rahmat Bepari confirmed the matter to banglanews.
