DHAKA: There should be no dialogue with the parties, who only want power as well as the country, not the countrymen, just alike Pakistani militia wanted in 1971.
Eminent journalist Monzurul Ahsan Bulbul made the remark while addressing a roundtable at a city hotel on Saturday.
Regional Anti-Terrorist Research Institute (RATRI) organized the roundtable titled- “Violence, Militancy, Dialogue and Reality”.
RATRI executive director Major General (retd) AK Mohammad Ali Shikder presented the keynote of the discussion.
Monjurul Ahsan Bulbul said, “I think a vested quarter is trying to pull back Bangladesh to the genre of Pakistan.”
Their aim is only to assume power bulldogging education, agriculture, garment, women, children as well as the countrymen, he added.
